Adopt a Beagle / Mixed (short coat)

The handsome guy with the soulful dark eyes is our new pal Linus. Linus has been living with his foster mom and another dog. His foster says he is sweet and affectionate and quite determined when he wants attention. He is housetrained and has only done a little bit of chewing but not too bad – he is quickly learning that his toys are for chewing and nothing else. He is fine with the resident dog but mostly ignores her and focuses on his person. We think he would not mind being an only dog, so he can focus all his attention and love on his family. He does need some leash training as he pulls a bit when walking and he absolutely loves to run around outside in the yard. Linus seemed a little anxious and sad at first, perhaps pining for the family he lost, but he is getting over that and is starting to blossom as he gets more secure in his foster home. He will be a wonderful companion for his new family. Linus is 2 years old and weighs 45 pounds.
